Rebekka Schwarz finished studying conservation and restoration in summer 2011 at the Technical University in Munich. Originally trained as a conservator in paintings and sculptures she soon became interested in the conservation of technical goods. Her diploma thesis on the tubes of an early television receiver was her third project at the Deutsches Museum, where she began to specialize on technical goods. Rebekka Schwarz works as a freelancer at the Deutsches Museum. She manages the transport (including e.g. consolidation, packing) of all kinds of tubes and other technical cultural objects.
