From 2006 on Michaela Tischer finished two years of art conservation training at a private workshop and at the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Munich. Then she started her studies at the Munich chair for Art Technology and Conservation Science. Focussing on the conservation and restoration of paintings and modern material during her studies, her diploma topic dealed with Warhol´s „Oxidation Paintings“. After graduating in March 2013, she has been working as a freelance conservator.
(From July 2013 on, she complets a trainee program at the Doerner Institut with focus on looking after the modern and contemporary art collection of the Brandhorst Museum, Munich.)
