Marta Palmeira, graduated in 2007 in Con- servation and Restoration at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Portugal. In the first semester of 2007, Marta did a six months internship at the National Gallery of Prague, working with old and contemporary paintings. Since April 2008 she has been head of paintings conservation at 20|21, Conservação e Restauro, responsible for analyzing, studying, preserving and restoring modern and contemporary paintings from the 20th and 21st centuries. Besides, Marta has a big experience in preventive conservation, with the analysis of a collection of 965 modern and contemporary works of art deposited in São João da Madeira’s City Hall, as well as of the 601 artworks from the European Parliaments collection. In the 1st place, she had contact with one Cecchini sculpture, that was melt- ing, and the curiosity about those type of art- works arose.
