Franziska Bergmann started her education in 2005 with an internship at ‘Technische Samm- lung’ Dresden, Germany on object conservation. From 2006-2011 she studied conservation of industrial heritage and modern Materials at the University of Applied Sciences HTW-Berlin. In 2008 she accomplished another internship at the ‘Filmmuseum Potsdam’ in object conservation. In 2010 she finished her Bachelor studies with a thesis about an AEG-Fan Modell VEA 25, conservation of elastomers at the ‘Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin’. In 2011 she wrote her Master thesis about a Polyphon from 1900 with intercrystalline corrosion on the lead elements, caused by carbon acids at the ‘Musikinstrumenten-Museum des Instituts für Musikforschung Berlin’.
